Clockwork pidgeon

Clockwork pigeons serve as a communication system through the city of clocks. They are mechanical pigeons no larger than real pigeons made out of bronze. They are designed to safely and swiftly deliver written messages. The messages are stored in a cage inside the pigeon's body. The pigeons are capable of reaching anywhere in the city in under a minute thanks to the ignition engine inside their body.

Mechanics & Inner Workings

The pigeons work on the registry system. A person has to register in the headquarters where they receive a ring, bracelet, or necklace as an identification key. The key has two uses one to call available pigeon and the second to open a cage inside the pigeon. To send a message one simply puts it in the cage and says the name of the registered person and the pigeon will deliver it. If the cage is forcefully open the ignition engine will activate and burn the letter containing the message.
