Casting Time: 1 reaction, which you take when you see a creature within 60 feet of you casting a spell

Duration: Instantaneous You attempt to turn a spell's mana against its caster. You and the target magically clash, rolling opposed ranged spell attacks or melee spell attacks when cast within 5 feet of the target. The creature casting a higher level spell gains a bonus to their spell attack equal to the difference in spell slot level (i.e., a 5th level mana theft targeting a 3rd level spell grants the mana shredding casting creature a +2 bonus to their spell attack roll). If the opposed roll results in a tie or the target succeeds, nothing happens. If you succeed, the target’s spell fails, has no effect, and the creature takes force damage equal to five times the level of spell slot used to cast the spell.
