The Taikuri Magocracy

A Country of Magic

The once-great nation of Taikuri was the leading country of magical development, with each major city focusing on a specific school of magic. From the creation of teleportation circles to the discovery of how to create magical artifacts, only the current-day power of the Taika Magocracy comes anywhere close to the development and mastery of magic Taikuri held. The Taikuri Magocracy was destroyed when the recently formed Draconic Kingdoms sought to expand their territory. During this time of geopolitical unrest, the warring dragons sought to establish their own territory, following the steps of the ancient Pamudurth. The Taikuri Magocracy, fearing that dragons may destroy their country started war with the draconic kingdoms, hoping to stop them before they grew too large. The resulting war however caused the draconic forces to ally with a loose truce after the Taikuri Magocracy caused the death of an ancient Yellow Dragon, the only recorded of its kind. With the draconic forces allied fearing the power the magocracy had shown, the magocracy was razed with only the 10 major cities surviving complete destruction. The few who survived would go on to found the Taika Magocracy.

Cities of Wonder

Each major city of the Taikuri Magocracy was devoted to the development of a single school of magic. The capital city of Ekovare was home to the development of Evocation magic, famously known for the creation of the meteor swarm spell used to take down the ancient Yellow Dragon, Lodrar. Iluze was responsible for the research and development of Illusion magic. Tramuke was the city responsible for the development of Transmutation magic. Incantios was the city that researched Conjuration magic and is best known for the creation of teleportation circles. Abiura was responsible for abjuration magic. Abiura was the last city to remain during the destruction of the Taikuri Magocracy thanks to its powerful protection magic, but they eventually fell after a 10-year siege headed by the ancient blue dragon, Plavarn. Stigiatore was the city responsible for researching Divination Magic. Drepi was the city responsible for researching Necromancy and as such was found in the most remote part of the Taikuri Magocracy. Drepi was the second to last city to be destroyed and is currently the least explored of the ancient magical cities. Grava was the city known for the creation and development of Graviturgy magic. Cronos is a city known for creating and researching Chronomancy. Since both Graviturgy and Chronomancy are the youngest schools of magic, they are also the schools with the least development. Most knowledge of the intricacies of Chronomancy and Graviturgy was lost during the first attacks from the Draconic Kingdoms.
