Hestia is the prime country that ruled over the region of Mendabal, contested only by Drudnik's territorial expansions against The Grestian Wastes. Mendabal is comprised mainly of savannas and grasslands, with scattered hilly regions and forests. Hestia is one of the leading nations of the light pantheon, hosting the main church of Bydall and Thuvnos. The elite soldiers of the Church of Qhormis, the necrobanes, also have their sect stationed in Fort Hilik; to protect against the undead that resides in the Deadlands. As a main seat of the light pantheon, Hestia boasts a large presence in religious politics across both Armoria and Imali. Hestia's military might is quite high, mainly to combat incursions from the Deadlands but also to keep watch over the border to The Grestian Wastes due to the heavy outlaw population there. The largest cities, the capital Hadair and Laz, both hold significant importance to the country. Hadair, being the capital, holds a large amount of the religious and political power of the country. Laz, the gateway city, sits on the border between Hestia and Atlea, which is the only physical way to the northern side of Armoria besides that of boating or going through the dwarven nations/Underdark. This makes Laz an important trade city to Hestia, bolstering the economy of Hestia more than even the capital and port cities.
