Nera, the Raven Queen

As one of the six Prime Deities, and the Goddess of Death and Fate, the Raven Queen is known throughout all of the continents on Ipeanet. Holding dominion over the death of all creatures, she is often as feared as she is revered, though some mistakenly exacerbate this by attributing Undeath to her as well. That couldn't be further from the truth however, and she despises all things that meddle in the natural timeline of a soul's transition to the afterlife, or interferes with the planned weave of a soul in the web of the grand design.
While little is known about the Raven Queen herself, one thing that is known is that she was formally mortal, an oddity amongst the gods. According to lore, she managed to kill the previous god of death, and assumed their mantle. How and why this was accomplished has faded into the histories, though tales run amok that she was a lover spurned, a heretical cleric, or even a power hungry necromancer. Regardless, what is known is that she currently calls home a palace in the Shadowfell known as Fortress of Memories.
