Half-orc
Half-orcs are fairly common in Iosisa's above-world. The orcs on average are viewed with some trepidation and suspicion but overall are allowed free reign. However, Hell's Gates, while it does not point fingers at half-orcs as suspicious characters, still does not put great emphasis on the importance of the race's upward social mobility. Most half-orcs are regulated to a poor socio-economic position with very few ever becoming wealthy or holding positions of power.

Origin/Ancestry
Half-orcs are generally the offspring of a human and an orc, but this is not always the case. Half-orc parents will have a half-orc child, and an elf/orc child is still called a half-orc. It's just that the most common pairing is human/orc.
