Tiefling
Tieflings are humanoids with fiendish heritage, whether it be demons or devils. Tieflings are known for their cunning and personal allure, which makes them excellent deceivers as well as inspiring leaders when prejudices are laid aside. Although their fiendish ancestry can be many generations removed, the effect lingers. Tieflings possess a natural propensity for magic; though not all tieflings become magic users, all tieflings possess the ability to cast some few spells or cantrips inherited from their fiendish or demonic ancestry.
Basic Information
Anatomy
While some tieflings look like normal humans, most retain physical characteristics derived from their ancestry, with the most common such features being horns, prehensile or non-prehensile tails, and pointed teeth. Some tieflings also have eyes that are solid orbs of black, red, white, silver, or gold, while others have eyes more similar to those of humans, but with flickering, flame-like irises, slitted pupils, and black sclera. Some tieflings possess cloven, hoofed feet, while the majority have more human-like feet.
Tieflings are similar in build to humans, with average heights between 5 feet 6 inches and 6 feet 6 inches, with some being taller still or shorter. Tieflings weigh slightly more than humans, with the average weight between 65 and 100 kilogrammes. Tiefling skin can be human-like in colouration, though some take on a hue more closely resembling their fiendish ancestors. Tiefling hair is also often the same colour as human hair, but tends to be on the darker side, or can also be dark blue, red, or purple. Although not always the case, tieflings tend to have better reflexes than humans.

Naming Traditions
Tiefling names can fall into three categories: those who have names derived from the culture they were raised in, those who have names that come from their fiendish heritage, and those who adopt a "virtue" as their name. Virtue names are generally adopted by younger tieflings, seeking to find their place in the world, who choose a virtue that they wish to embody. For some, it is a noble quest, while for others, a grim destiny.
