Shar (a.k.a. Mistress of the Night, Lady of Loss, Nightsinger, Dark Lady, Mistress of Pain)

Shar is the goddess of darkness and the night in the Croyoran pantheon, and the malevolent twin sister and counterpart to the goddess Selûne. She holds the portfolio of darkness, forgetfulness, loss, and night, as well as caverns, dungeons, and The Underdark. She is the goddess of darkness not only as the absence of light, but also the metaphorical darkness that dwells within oneself. She resides over the Shadowfell. It is widely believed among Croyoran humans that the moon Lyraea is the physical embodiment of Shar.
