Goliath

Goliaths are a nomadic race of humanoids native to the mountainous regions of Croyora.

Basic Information

Anatomy

Goliaths are massive. These giant-kin average between 7 and 8 feet tall, and weight well over 130 kilogrammes. They have noticeably bony brow ridges, which protrude above their often blue or green eyes. Goliath skin is often grey or brown and is extremely tough (often compared to stone). One of the most distinctive features of goliaths are the darker (often vertically symmetrical) patches of skin that cover their entire bodies. Goliaths believe that these markings somehow explain or control their fate or destiny, and it is for this reason that they never tattoo themselves, believing that purposeful markings on their skin could affect their future.

Naming Traditions

Goliaths have three names. They start their lives with a first name and a clan name, but once they come of age, a third name is given related to their most impressive deed thus far. This name can change throughout life, both for better or for worse. Their first and clan names are often guttural, with many harsh consonants and broad vowels.
