Garia Department of Iron Acquisition

Structure

Guildmaster

Head of the organization and master of management, the Guildmaster is the highest position in Garia, though they tend to spend most of their time outside of the Guild's Lands. While supported by a veritable legion of aids and bureaucrats, the Guildmaster has to oversee so much that they often find themselves with little free time. That is, if they have not pawned off most responsibilities to someone else.

Regional Representative

Managers of multiple Hallmasters, Regional Representatives answer directly to the office of the Guildmaster. Their responsibilities most entail ensuring that all Hallmasters meet their quotas and assigning Justices to deal with any legal trouble within the bounds of Garia.

Hallmaster

Heads of the local Guildhalls and those responsible for meeting quotas, the Hallmasters are more like private, petty lords than corporate managers.

Garian Justices

An organization of semi-nomadic arbitrators of justice, the Garian Justices answer to the Regional Representatives directly, going where they are needed in order to keep the peace and serve the Guilds Justice.

Department of Security

While they both write the laws and enforce them, the Department of Security is held accountable by the office of the Guildmaster, as well as third-party investigative boards established in order to prevent a significant abuse of this power. Why Garia maintains this obviously vulnerability is unknown, though it seems that the Guildmasters are unable to undo it.

Public Agenda

Like the rest of the Ferric League, Garia is present in the Frontier to mine as much Iron as possible. This is framed by the Guild's PR as a benevolent act, as they are risking themselves to provide steel to the rest of Ahuduir.

Trade & Transport

Using the Iron-Standard (specific alloy of Iron-Silver-Gold) like most other nations on Ahuduir, the Garia Department of Iron Acquisition mostly trades bulk refined iron and steel towards the coastal regions. This is done by heavily guarded caravans moving along purpose-built roads, as well as via the Kaikal River, which see huge Iron barges moving thousands of tons of steel towards the coast. Coming back towards Garia are preserved exotic foodstuffs, immigrants and refined goods that are unable to be made using local materials.
