Scyanox

Scyanox is the seat of the Drayken Empire. Vrael Drayken, a ruby dragon, has ruled over the Empire for centuries unopposed. A strict system of serfdom is enforced on the island, with peasants of all races toiling on farms and in mines to provide luxuries for the draconic aristocracy. True dragons are rare and generally members of the aristocracy, though half-dragons and draconic sorcerors are very common.

Ruling over the Scyanoxian Empire for centuries, few beings on Ionox are feared the way the ruby dragon Drayken is. Legends tell of the ferocity with which his forebears decimated all who stood against them as they claimed sovereignty over the coastal lands that now make up the Gemstone Colonies. Colonists up until now have submitted to demands of tribute to Scyanox, but unrest is growing.
Daken, the son of Emperor Drayken and heir to his throne, is feared across the land. It's little secret within the court that Daken is less than satisfied with what he sees as the weakness of letting the colonies be free and accepting tribute, preferring the Empire to take a more iron-handed approach.
