The Day of Silence
The first day of The Week of Saints, is less of a day of silence and more a day of worship. It is customary for no small talk to be had. Instead it is a day of quiet reflection on one's self and the past year. While talking is still allowed, it is customary to only speak when it is absolutely necessary. At the end of the day it is customary to celebrate with a meal of potatoes, turkey, glazed carrots, and pie. After dinner, everyone is to speak about what they reflected on, and discuss plans for the betterment of themselves and their community for the next year.
