Muw

The Muw (Felis Astra), also known as the Space Cat, is a descendant of the Terran domestic cat that has adapted to life aboard starships. They can easily tolerate and adapt to moving about in low gravity and microgravity conditions.
Ship's cats have a long history stretching all the way back to the very dawn of recorded history. Although there is little need for controlling populations of vermin animals aboard most modern starships, Muws still hold the position once held by their planetside bound ancestors.

Space Faring Felines

Modern Muws are relatively on average slightly larger than their Terran ancestors, and generally resemble large, fluffy balls of fur rather than the sleek predators that they have evolved from.
Muws are obligate carnivores and as such require a meat based diet. Grain and vegetable filler in their feed should be avoided, as they struggle to effectively digest most forms of plant matter.
