Republic of Alverro
Alverro is a veritable jewel. Its meandering river valleys are home to glittering yellow limestone cliffs and rolling, verdant agro-vineyard covered hills. One of the founding members of The Communal Republics of Lavenna, it was known in pre-war times for its abundant mineral wealth and unrivaled biodiversity. Tragically, during the long and brutal Seriphanese occupation at the height of the The Continental War, its idyllic landscapes were ravaged on an industrial scale. Through the systematic use of unfathomably destructive strip mining conducted with no regard for the natural environment or its inhabitants, entire landscapes were pulverized and permanently scarred, towns razed, and the ecosystem poisoned to the brink of collapse.
To its north, the fertile banks of the massive Lavandral River are straddled by the sloping, towering hills of the Lavald Valley. To the east, the jagged eastern coast of Ardanto Bay and the Eldraz mountains, supplies the LCR with world renowned “Alverri Silver”. To the west is the highlands that surround the bountiful Lake Kal-Sora
History
Aldern was born in a confluence of cultures. Its verdant fields and bottomless silver deposits left it constantly divided between empires, vassal states, and cultures. During Volarri colonisation of the coast of Lavenna, it became a commercial hub for the growing Volarri imperial might.
