Winding acres of endless vineyards and Hiura fields are only perturbed by the outcroppings of countless white-painted buildings in Kofanta. A yearlong warm, sunny climate has graced this lakeside capital with a pleasant environment. But beneath the venire of sunny warmth and idyllic peace, lies a horrific past, one which continues to haunt the city's psyche and identity. Even the walls of the beautiful white buildings, those that from a distance seem untarnished and perfect, are coated in the impassioned political grievances and lamentations of the city's aggrieved populace. Graffiti coats the city like a constantly rebellious veil. The gentle winds of Lake Iksalo to carry with them the remains of a terrible past, one its inhabitants refuse to forget.
