Borontist Union of Rhymarr

"In Rhymarr, loyalty isn't earned. It's owed, with interest."

- Chair-Director Lys Venekar, Cycle Report, 3rd Consolidation Era
Rhymarr has emerged from the ashes of both Amarantha and Cerulsia to become a fanatical, oppressive regime. Having raised their bloody orange banner over what was once long considered the world's greatest city, one that once attracted intellectuals and free thinkers from across the planet, Gral Creulo, their entire populace has been mobilised into a purge of all that they consider "Against the People." This reign of terror has been crashing upon Remora for the past half decade, and estimates range the death toll between 1 to 10 million. All of this is being done in the name of Bolonism, a radical new ideology.   As it stands currently, Remora has established a firm grasp on the former territories of Amarantha, Cerulsia, and Akvosta. Akvosta in particular has suffered greatly under the societal purges. In addition to their general cultural cleansing, they foster a particular hatred toward the Skyborn ethnicities, seeing them as the sole cause of the bloody Continental War which created the conditions that caused their revolution.

Government

BorontismConsortiums
Rhymarr is governed under the harsh doctrine of Borontism, a radical ideology that organizes society into rigid labor consortiums— massive worker blocs arranged in a strict hierarchical ladder. These consortiums function as both corporate entities and political units, controlling the nation’s wealth, labor, and legislative influence.   In theory, each consortium is democratically led by elected representatives of its workforce. In practice, however, the system is riddled with corruption, coercion, and backroom deals. Over time, the consortiums have evolved into de facto megacorporations— monolithic powers that dominate every aspect of Rhymarran life.   At the summit of this hierarchy sits the Chair-Director, chosen by the three most dominant consortiums. While the Chair-Director wields sweeping authority, their power is ultimately bound by the will and approval of the consortiums themselves, ensuring that no decision strays too far from their shared economic interests.
