Bone Tribe

The Bone tribe formerly know as the Sharktooth tribe. Is a tribe of Lizardmen and Undead within The Dark Swamps. Feared and respected by many other Lizardmen tribes for their magic.
  Description
Most of lizardmen within the bone tribe have green scales with color accents of black, which blend in with the swamp surroundings. A rare few of this tribe are born with all black scales.
The lizardmen wear little more than scraps of black bear fur armor. High ranking warriors might be found wearing bone armor made of whale bones. Typically equipment is black bear fur leather armor, shell shields, and bone spears.
  Personality
Bone tribe members are feared by most other races and considered "unholy" creatures due to their use of necromancy. They are especially talented at hunting within the water. Experts of swamp lore and tracking.
  Combat
Usually hunting during the day. They prefer using spears and blowguns as they are well adapted to such weapons. A skilled warrior might be fortunate to have hunted a whale by himself thus earning a full suit of whale bone armor. Magic users within the tribe often use gorilla warfare mix in with undead to overwhelm the enemy.
Fallen Warriors of the tribe are scavenged for meat and forever honored as skeleton aids within the tribe. Fallen enemy warriors are bought back to the tribe, what awaits them there is a fate far worst then death. To sever as a deterrent against attacks and to gather information the shamans of the tribe will raise them form the dead, kill them, and repeat until they have gather the info they need; they are then sent free.
  Society
The tribe consists of around 200 individual Lizardmen and unknow numbers of undead and spirits. They do a little bit of farming, but most of there food comes form hunting and gathering in the swamps/ocean. Having 1 permanent settlement located in an underwater cavern, the precise location is unknown.
When tribe members wear clothes, it is reminiscent of late 1700 pirate attire. Often the lizardmen wouldn't wear much beyond accessories and armor. examples of clothing and gear common are bone/teeth necklaces, bone/shell sheilds, bone weapons and tools, Bear furs and leathers, feather cloaks. On ceremony the chieftain would wear a bear headdress.
Disputes are often handled by one on one duels were the victor decided if the loser lived or died. The only exception to this is duels over succession of the tribe, the loser must die to prevent further instability within the tribe. Only the living are allowed to become chief as the dead couldn't die.
Lizardmen that are show to have high intelligence are trained at a young age to become necromancers. They are know as shamans within the tribe. The necromancers within the tribe are held in highest reverence. Unusually this has brought up a culture of study and education within the tribe at a young age, this being odd amongst Lizardmen tribes.
Within the tribe it is considered a grave offense and crime to raise a innocent sentient creature without there permission as an undead. Being found guiltily of killing an innocent sentient creature and then raising them as the undead was punishable by 100 years in a cycle of being raised, tortured and then killed after which the body was burned. Such an individual would bring the ultimate shame upon his/her clan members.
The strongest of the lizardmen often became chieftain. Disposed form it only through one on one fight to the death held within a scared battle ground. A council of former chieftains as undead serve as an advisory and legislative body under the current chieftain.
  Religion
Each member could worship what ever deity(s) or Spirit(s) they wished, but all expected to follow the teachings of Sable Haru . It is believed that objects, places and creatures all have there own souls with the tribe. While the thing with that soul is just a vessel that holds the soul. Warriors are honored forever as scared undead citizens with the tribe, it considered the highest honor one can achieve. Breaking the cycle of life and death by bringing someone back as a living creature is consider the highest dishonor. The most skilled necromancers often living forever by means of cloning themselves, though a many will choose to move on to the spirit realm eventually.   History
