Sauruanian History (or History of the Esox Islands) is the narrative of sauruanian past. It is understood through archaeology, anthropology, genetics, linguistics, and (since the advent of writing) primary and secondary source documents.

Intel on exactly when and where the Sauruanian joined the ranks of the Hivivian is unknown, but it is believed by Hierarchy Intelligence Corps that they joined three months prior to encountering the USC Blue Dawn and that of Humanity in August 2725. It is understood that the Sauruanian kept their allegiance to the Hivivian a secret in order for sauruanian within the Hierarchy to act as spies for the Hivivian. In fact, it may even have been the sauruanian that got Captain Zari Vaniic’s colonial expedition team captured.
The Sauruanian’s allegiance with the Hivivian soon became known the following year in late-June after AMI, the USC Blue Dawn’s AI, detected a Hivivian radio signal coming from within the Dawn’s science lab. AMI further determined that the signal matched the same signal used by the sauruanian scientist, Grisb Xurorica. Grisb is later killed in a standoff with the Dawn’s MPs but not before mentioning an attack by the Hivivian on Tíreia.
First Contact with Humanity

Sauruanian first entered the Human-Hivivian War at the same time as their Caniic allies after the human’s General Assembly and Security Council meeting. Because of their scientific knowledge of alien technology thanks to their research they conducted on Xagroria, it was decided that the sauruanian would work alongside the Caniic Hierarchy’s Science Academy and the human’s Office of Space Intelligence, with frontline research scientist Grisb Xurorica onboard the human vessel, USC Blue Dawn.

Sauruanian Civil War
Almost immediately after the Hivivian's defeat at Earth, King Grutiozz aboard the Sauruanian flagship, Trutozzic, opened up communications with the Caniic Hierarchy for full surrender and apologizes for their part in the devastation of Tíreia. Grutiozz promised that the Sauruanian would not only help rebuild what they destroyed on Tíreia but assist the humans in their own recovery. This of course made Grutiozz increasingly unpopular to the point he was assassinated six months later by his own son. The assassination of King Grutiozz caused a major shift in sauruanian politics as well as a rift in the succession line with Grutiozz's late wife, Queen Jefzai, and their eldest son prince Srutiozz both claiming the throne. According to long sauruanian law, women cannot hold sole power without a husband thus giving the Right to Rule to Srutiozz. However, assassination for political gains is also illegal which invalidates Srutiozz's claim. None of this stopped either Jefzai or her son with both sides having strong support towards their cause. This in turn split sauruanian society in two and civil war that engulfed the Esox Islands.
This civil war soon grew beyond the Esox Islands and that of Tíreia as fighting was reported on both sauruanian colonies of Drotonerth and Xagroria. Fighting among sauruanian factions grew so intense that the Caniic Hierarchy became involved in an attempt to quell the violence. However, because the Caniic were in the middle of another war themselves with the Becceorian, they could only provide minimal assistance.
The war eventually ended five years later with the death of Prince Srutiozz at the hands of his paternal uncle, Prince Onk, on Xagroria and the unconditional surrender of Queen Jefzai a few days later. Onk then proclaimed himself King of the Sauruanian Kingdom.
