Project BUSHIDO

Project BUSHIDO was a USC powered armor program developed independently from, and as a rival to Project EXCALIBER. The program later produced a EXCALIBER variant for the Mark VI generation.

Overview

Specifications

The Bushido armor is an advanced piece of technology that has been designed with a number of features to make it effective for use in various tasks. Firstly, it is lightweight due to the advanced materials used in its construction, which reduces the strain on the wearer when performing tasks that require extended periods of mobility. Additionally, its aesthetic design is inspired by ancient Japanese samurai armor, which gives the armor a unique and intriguing appearance. Furthermore, the Bushido armor includes spiked shoulder pauldrons that are correctly referred to as s'ode. These features provide additional protection to the wearer's shoulders and also add to the armor's distinctive look. Additionally, the armor's helmet has been designed with a defensive and ultraviolet-protective visor that enhances the wearer's protection. The visor is intentionally small to make it more difficult for accurate penetration while offering superior protection to the wearer.   The Bushido armor is primarily used for heavy lifting and extra-vehicular activity. Compared to its EXCALIBER counterpart, it is slightly slower and less dexterous, but it is still highly effective and shares most of the design features of the EXCALIBER Mark VI. All in all, the Bushido armor is a sophisticated piece of technology with advanced features and distinctive aesthetic design that makes it an excellent choice for various tasks.

Development history

The Bushido, a powered battle armor system, is similar in design to the EXCALIBER armor, except that it was developed by the RX Group as opposed to Project EXCALIBER. It was presented in the year 2593, fifteen years before the EXCALIBER Mark V went into production. RX Group, an Earth-based think tank, developed the Bushido, as it was considered an answer to the self-contained powered armor issue. Initially, Project Bushido was developed without any prior knowledge of the classified Project EXCALIBER. It was during the course of their research that RX Group and OSI's Materials Group established communication and pooled their research resources. This collaboration resulted in the creation of an EXCALIBER-compatible Bushido variant, which featured numerous stylistic and functional improvements. Its unique design and technological advancements made it an essential asset in future combat roles.   The Bushido armor system was created to address the need for a self-contained powered armor that could withstand harsh combat conditions. This machine-powered system is designed to amplify the physical abilities of the wearer, making them stronger, faster, and more agile. The Bushido is similar in design to the EXCALIBER armor, but the RX Group brought a unique approach, which resulted in significant improvements in terms of functionality and style. The Bushido armor system has proven to be a pivotal piece of hardware in future combat scenarios. Its exceptional adaptability, durability, and enhanced physical capabilities have made it an important development in the field of military technology.
