Pinch Fusion Reactor

Pinch fusion reactors are advanced nuclear fusion reactors that have been utilized by the Hivivian to generate power for their warships. Unlike traditional nuclear reactors that use fission, pinch fusion reactors use deuterium and tritium as fuel. By replicating the conditions that occur deep within the core of a star, these reactors are capable of generating huge amounts of plasma and, as a result, an enormous amount of power.
In addition to powering the engines and weapons of Hivivian warships, these reactors are also used in smaller weapons systems. They work by using strong magnetic fields to focus and compress plasma until the point of fusion is reached. When fusion occurs, large amounts of energy are released in the form of highly energetic particles, which can then be harnessed to power various systems.
