Master Chief Sergeant of the Tactical Orbital Defense Troopers
Master Chief Sergeant of the Tactical Orbital Defense Troopers (MCSTODT), is a billet, as well as a unique enlisted grade of rank, E-10 (enlisted, rank tenth), with a unique non-commissioned grade of rank insignia, in the United Space Command Tactical Orbital Defense Troopers. The holder of this rank and position is the most senior enlisted member of the Tactical Orbital Defense Troopers.
History
In the USC TODT, Master Chief Sergeant is the ninth and highest enlisted rank, just above chief sergeant, and equal in grade to chief command sergeant, although the two have different responsibilities. A master chief sergeant typically serves as the unit commander's senior enlisted adviser and to handle matters of discipline, lead special units, and morale among the enlisted TODTs. The Master Chief Sergeant of the Tactical Orbital Defense Troopers is chosen by the Commander of the Tactical Orbital Defense Troopers to serve as his adviser and is the preeminent and highest ranking enlisted TODT. The MCSTODT holds an order of precedence of a major general.
