Hierarchy Department of State

The Hierarchy Department of State is an executive department of the Caniic Hierarchy governorate responsible for the Hierarchy's foreign policy and relations. Equivalent to the ministry of foreign affairs of the Tigriic and Sauruanian, its primary duties are advising the Hierarchy governor-general on international relations, administering diplomatic missions, negotiating international treaties and agreements, and representing the Caniic Race as a whole. The department is headquartered in the Bjorn J. Alvidsǫgr Longhouse, a few blocks from the Governor-General's Longhouse.
Established in 1910 as the first administrative arm of the Hierarchy executive branch, the State Department is considered among the most powerful and prestigious governorate agencies. It is headed by the administrator of state, who reports directly to the Hierarchy governor-general and is a member of the Governorate. Analogous to a foreign minister, the administrator of state serves as the hierarchy government's chief diplomat and representative abroad, and is the first Governorate official in the order of precedence. The position is currently held by Thyre Sasixjóttar, who was appointed by Governor-General Jaal Vaniisǫgr and approved by the Security Council.

Headquarters
