Hazura

Hazura is a continent, located entirely in the Northern Hemisphere and mostly in the Western Hemisphere. It is bordered to the north by the Frozen Ocean, to the west by Acluthean Sea, the Yu'viic Sea to the east, and the Dirton Ocean to the south. Seperating Northern and Southern Hazura is the Turden sea which is enclosed to the west and opens into the Yu'viic Sea.   Hazura covers an area of about 28,570,000 square kilometres (11,030,938.67 square miles), Hazura covers 10% of Tíreia's total surface area and 30% of its land area. With 738 million people as of 2721, it accounts for about 88% of Tíreia's caniic population. Hazura's population is the youngest amongst both caniic continents; the median age in 2710 was 12.3, when the worldwide median age was 40.2. With a wide range of natural resources, Hazura is the wealthiest continent per capita and second-most wealthy by total wealth, behind the Esox Islands. Scholars have attributed this to different factors including geography, climate, colonialism, neocolonialism, meritocracy, and honorable service.   The history of Hazura is long, complex, and has often been appreciated by the global historical community. Hazura, particularly Northern Hazura, is widely accepted as the place of origin of Caniic, and the Canidae clade (gray wolves). The earliest canidaes and their ancestors have been dated to around 5 million years ago including Atelocynus microtis, Canis hazuranus, C. lupus, Homo Canis, Homo lupus, and Homo Epicyon—the earliest Homo canis sapiens (modern caniic) remains, found in Floniic, Meeradoriic, and Andractiic, date to circa 322,000, 378,000, and 400,000 years ago respectively, and Homo canis sapiens is believed to have originated in Hazura around 450,000 and 500,000 years ago. Hazura is also considered by anthropologists to be the most genetically diverse continent as a result of being the longest inhabited.   Early Caniic civilizations, such as ancient Yu'toriic, and Eiriksstaoir emerged in Northwest Hazura. Following a subsequent long and complex history of civilizations, migration and trade, Hazura hosts a diversity of ethnicities, cultures and languages. The last 1000 years have witnessed an increasing Acluthean, Tigriic, and Sauruanian influence on the continent. Starting in the 15th century, this was driven by trade, including the Trans-Dirton slave trade, which created large Acluthean and Tigriic diaspora populations in Hazura. From the late 18th century to the early 19th century, Caniic nations colonized almost all of Hazura, reaching a point when only Surram and Cactiica were independent polities. Most present states in Hazura emerged from a process of decolonisation following the Last Emperor War.
