Galactic Peace Alliance

The Galactic Peace Treaty Alliance (GPTA) is an upcoming intergovernmental military alliance formed by Humanity, Caniic, and Asiel. Its establishment came in the aftermath of the Human-Hivivian War, with the aim of ensuring peace and security among these member races. The organization will implement the Galactic Peace Treaty, which will be signed in New Washington D.C. on Earth, on 12 April 2740.   The GPTA is built upon a collective security system, where all member races agree to defend one another against potential attacks from external parties. This approach emphasizes the importance of unity and cooperation between the races, promoting stability and peace across the galaxy. The GPTA's service personnel will consist of a combined force from the militaries of each race, including human, caniic, and asiel personnel. This cooperative effort allows for diverse skills, experiences, and perspectives to be brought together, fostering mutual understanding and shared responsibility.   Jahor, Andractiic on the caniic homeworld of Tíreia, will serve as the GPTA's main headquarters. This central hub will facilitate communication, coordination, and decision-making among the member races. While the military headquarters will be situated near Saksa, Andractiic. This strategic placement ensures efficient military operations and readiness.

Membership

The 3 GPTA members are

Humanity

Caniic

Asiel

The Galactic Peace Treaty Alliance's membership consists of three races: humanity, caniic, and asiel. These three races are all located in the Orion Arm of the Milkyway Galaxy, making it a regional alliance rather than a universal one.   In order to become a member of the GPTA, each race must meet certain criteria set forth by the organization. This includes having stable governance systems, upholding basic interracial rights, and possessing advanced space travel capabilities. Additionally, potential member races must demonstrate a willingness to adhere to the goals and principles of the Galactic Peace Treaty.   While there may be other races in the galaxy that share similar values as those upheld by the GPTA, membership is limited due to logistical reasons. The GPTA aims to maintain efficient communication and cooperation among its members, which may be difficult with too many diverse races involved. However, the alliance remains open to the possibility of expanding its membership in the future, provided that any new members share their commitment to peace and cooperation, and can contribute meaningfully to the alliance's military and diplomatic efforts.

Special arrangements

The GPTA recognizes that there may be races or groups in the galaxy who share similar values and goals as its member races, but may not meet the criteria for full membership. In order to accommodate these entities, special arrangements will be made within the alliance.   There are two types of special arrangements that can be made: permanent membership and joint efforts.   Permanent membership is reserved for races or groups that show a strong alignment with the principles of the GPTA and contribute significant resources towards its goals. These entities will have full access to all communication channels and decision-making processes within the alliance, and will be expected to uphold their responsibilities as members.   Joint efforts, on the other hand, are temporary arrangements where non-member races or groups can collaborate with the GPTA on specific tasks or missions. This could include joint military operations, diplomatic negotiations, or scientific research projects. These joint efforts allow for cooperation and exchange of knowledge between different entities in pursuit of common goals.   Special arrangements will only be made after thorough evaluation by the GPTA's governing body, which consists of representatives from each member race. Any decisions regarding special arrangements must be made unanimously in order to maintain fairness and balance within the alliance. One potential concern with special arrangements is maintaining confidentiality and security within the alliance. To address this issue, strict protocols and agreements will be put in place to ensure that sensitive information is only shared among trusted parties. The GPTA also recognizes that new races may emerge or existing ones may evolve over time. As such, a periodic review process will be in place to assess whether any new entities are eligible for permanent membership or joint efforts.   While special arrangements offer opportunities for collaboration beyond the three founding races, they also come with their own challenges. However, by carefully evaluating potential candidates and establishing clear guidelines and protocols, the GPTA aims to harness diverse talents and abilities towards its goal of galactic peace.

GPTA defense expenditure budget

As part of their commitment to collective security, all member races must agree to contribute proportionately to the alliance's defense expenditure budget. This budget will cover expenses related to joint military operations, training exercises, research and development of new technologies, and maintenance of equipment.   Each race's contribution will be determined based on their population size, economic strength, and level of military capabilities. All decisions regarding defense expenditure budget allocation will be made through mutual discussion and agreement among member races.

Structure

The structure of the Galactic Peace Treaty Alliance (GPTA) can be divided into two main categories: civilian and military. Both play crucial roles in ensuring the success of the alliance's mission to maintain peace and security among member races.

Civilian Structure

The civilian structure of the GPTA is responsible for administrative and support functions. This includes managing budgets, coordinating communication and cooperation between member races, conducting research and development, and promoting cultural exchange and understanding.   At the top of the civilian hierarchy is the GPTA Council, which consists of representatives from each member race. They are responsible for making major decisions related to the alliance, such as budget allocation and policy changes. The Council also serves as a forum for discussing issues or conflicts between member races.   Underneath the Council are various specialized agencies that focus on specific areas, such as economic development, cultural exchange, and technology advancement. These agencies work together to support the overall mission of the alliance.   One key agency within the civilian structure is the Department of Diplomacy, which is responsible for maintaining relations with non-member races and negotiating treaties or agreements on behalf of the alliance. This department plays a crucial role in preventing conflicts from escalating into war.

Military Structure

The military structure of the GPTA is responsible for carrying out defensive operations and protecting member races from external threats. It consists of a combined force from all three member races, including ground forces, space fleets, and specialized units.   At the top of this hierarchy is the GPTA High Command, which oversees all military operations and strategies. This command is made up of representatives from each race's military leaders.   Underneath the High Command are regional commands that oversee operations within specific regions or sectors of space. These commands work closely with local governments to maintain stability and security in their respective areas.   The backbone of the military structure is made up of specialized units that focus on different aspects such as intelligence gathering, cyber security, and logistics. These units work together to support the overall mission of the alliance and ensure its effectiveness on the battlefield. The most elite unit within the GPTA's military structure is the Galactic Peacekeepers, an elite force drawn from the militaries from each race.

Legal authority of GPTA commanders

GPTA Commanders have the authority to make decisions in emergency war-time situations, but major strategic decisions must be approved by the GPTA Council. The chain of command goes from the ground forces up through regional commands, and finally to the GPTA High Command. This system ensures that decisions are both strategically sound and in line with the alliance's overall goals.   In times of peace, the GPTA's focus is on maintaining peace and stability throughout controlled space. The alliance conducts routine patrols of trade routes and systems with member races, as well as offering aid to those in need. The Department of Diplomacy and various specialized agencies work to foster peaceful relations and resolve disputes diplomatically, while the military structure remains on standby in case of any hostile actions.
