Design details

The B7W55 is a long-barreled bullpup battle rifle equipped with a telescopic sight. The weapon fires a 9.5×40mm round from a 60-round magazine. It was later remodeled to suppress 'walking.'
The B7W55 combat rifle is a electric-operated, magazine-fed, mid-to-long range weapon capable of semi-automatic and burst-firing modes. Visially speaking, the prototype B7W55 resembles the the B7W Heavy Barrel Combat Rifle rather than the standerd. Prototypes of the B7W55 existed as early as 2694, and were later used in 2705 during the early stages of the Outer Colonies Civil War. By 2722 it had superseded the A475 Designated Marksman Rifle in use in all branches of the military with exception to the Army. The combat rifle fires a 8.47×70mm X-HP-SAP round from a 36-round magazine. Additionally, the weapon features a Telescopic Sight capable of 2x magnification. It does reasonable damage to enemies, being able to kill most within a few bursts (normally four when the enemy is fully shielded), and can easily land headshots on unshielded targets, resulting in a one-hit kill. Its accuracy and range are both also reasonably high, being able to hit a target from medium to semi-long ranges.
