Ashley Rebecca Norton (service number 34276-77690-AN) is a servicewoman of the Tactical Orbital Defense Troops, currently holds the rank of Sergeant with 472 mission hours.

Appearence

Simply speaking, Ash is in extraordinarily physically fit young woman. She is rather short, and muscularly feminine. Her arms and legs are about average in length, her torso on thand,ther hand is short in comparison. She has decently sized breasts and very prominent butt. Aside from her TODT missions, Ash keeps herself well taken care of and exercises quite often every opportunity she can. Ash prefers to eat salads over most red meats, but sometimes she'll treat herself to a decent steak or even a cake from time to time. At an early age, Ash was diagnosed with GID and transitioned from boy to girl when she was eight. When she turned twenty, just prior to her military training, Ash spent three days in a Reconstruction Pod to become biologically female.
Ashley keeps her ears pierced with purple heart-shaped earrings in them. She also a tattoo of a purple butterfly on her butt, and the emblem of the TODT on her upper left arm. She also has a slight burn scar on the palm of her left hand from when she touched the side of her drop pod without protection after planetary entry, as well as three knife scars on both wrists from where she tried to kill herself as a child.

Attire & Personal effects

Commonly, unless she's on a mission, Ash is seen in her powered armor jumpsuit, or standard TODT service uniform. Off-duty, she like to wear traditional denim shorts, TODT tank top and purple & white tennis shoes. When on a mission, Ash is seen in her full assigned powered armor. Ashley carries a purse while personal leave which contains a .38 revolver, a quick make-up kit, to-go tissues, a miniature VR headband, and a old antique pocketwatch with US Marine Corps emblum on the front cover.
Ash's standard firearm of chose is commonly the A475 Designated Marksman Rifle, and the G47C magnum sidearm. Ash also has a customized variant of the GEN2 Excaliber Powered Assault Armor.

Biography

Early life and education

Ashley was born on March 31, 2690 to parents Howard and Miranda Norton while they were living on Titan during Miranda’s service within the United Space Command Navy. After three years, Ash, her parents, and one-year-old brother, Michael, moved back Earth after her father was elected as Governor of New York. After two years on Earth, Ash’s little sister, Megan, was born. It was also around this time that Ash started to sense that she was different than other boys. After she was caught wearing the clothes of a female friend from school, her parents sat her down with a therapist specializing in gender issues, who diagnosed her with gender identity disorder. However, her parents refused to allow her live as a girl, at least until she was ten when she attempted to take her own life. The event was an eye opener, and not wanting to lose their child, Ash’s parents both agreed that it was for best to let her live as the girl she believed she was.

Ambush

During an emergency deployment to the Japanese-controlled outer colony, Hakkura, Norton and her fireteam came under heavy attack by rebel forces near the outskirts of New Tokyo. Norton and her team were pinned down in an old ruined farm house for four days until reinforcements came. Norton and two of her teammates survived, however, three others including Norton's beloved, Major Alice Reynolds, were killed. SInce the route and nature of Norton's mission was classified, a formal investigation was opened to figure out how rebellion got wind of it.

Family and relations

Ash is the oldest of three children and eldest daughter of the governor of New York, Howard Norton and USC Navy Admiral, Miranda Donaldson. Her brother, Michael is a specialist Marine Lieutenant in the employ of the Office of Space Intelligence with a three-year-old son. Ash's little sister, Megan, whom she is incredibly close to, is a renowned sergeant in the USC Military Police and happily married with two daughters. Ash, is a proud aunt to her beautiful nephew and nieces. She keeps a picture of them attached to her gun so she always remembers why she what she does.
Ashley also has a large group of friends both inside and out of her military service. Presently, her absolute closest best friend is her mother, Miranda Norton, she is Ashley's biggest hero and she dreams of being just like her someday. Ashley was also previously engaged to a young USC Army Major, Alice Reynolds, before she was killed in action. Nine months after Alice's death, Ashley gave birth to a baby boy she named Arthur, she has yet to tell her commanding officer about her son.
