Mental characteristics

Personal history

Lady Medea Delphi was a noble-born woman from what was believed to be a normal human family, astoundingly she was born with green snakelike eyes and patches of scaly skin. She was a Yuan-Ti Pureblood, and thus a secret and a shame to her family. So for the next few decades, she was locked away in a tower on the family estate, never to see the world. Her only friends were her books, the birds that landed on her window sill, the occasional tutor, and her maids. The maids, in particular, were very kind to her, they made sure she always had her favorite meals, dressed her in favorite clothes, brought her books of all kinds (even "illegal ones") from the Imperium Academia, and even kept her company some days. Despite this, she was still lonely and longed to see the outside world and resented herself and her "curse". She developed a sense of Ophidiophobia, the fear of snakes, due to her own nature and her rejection of it. Thus in that tower, she had nothing but time, so she read many of the "forbidden" books and prayed to many of the gods and goddesses seeking freedom from her curse and for the approval and love of her family. Her prayers were finally answered one day in the form of the Goddess Hecate, the first and only deity that even bothered to answer her prayers. Hecate blessed her with a magical key that could unlock almost any door and named her a Cleric, she did not cure her of her curse but rather provided her with the means of finding one. So in the dead of night, without even tell her maids, she packed her things and stole a few necessary gears. Since then she has been on the run and seeking a cure to her curse, she knows it's out there somewhere and will not rest until she has one.

Gender Identity

Female

Sexuality

Heterosexual

Education

As a noblewoman and locked away most of her life, her education came from private tutors that were hired discreetly and secretly by her family. They taught her many of the basics of the world and her education, the rest she learned by reading many of the books provided to her by the maids.

Employment

She has never been employed and is at this moment more so a wanderer and pilgrim of sorts.

Accomplishments & Achievements

Thus far her biggest accomplishment is becoming a Cleric of Hecate and escaping her tower, beyond that not so much.

Failures & Embarrassments

She feels that she is an utter failure to her family and that they are embarrassed by her mere existence. They wouldn't kill her and yet they refused to even see or speak with her through most of her youth.

Mental Trauma

She doesn't hate or fear herself as much as she hates and fears what she can do and her own nature as a Yuan-Ti Pureblood. This compounds into her Ophidiophobia, her fear of snakes.

Intellectual Characteristics

She can very clever due her private tutelage, but she is wise beyond her years and has a penchant for medicine and anatomy. This is due to her research into her own condition and her attempts to cure herself.

Morality & Philosophy

You tend to be morally good, but not particularly beholden to any supposedly just laws nor do actively break any laws in the name of what is right. But rather you follow the principles of Hecate and your own conscience.

Taboos

The unnecessary and/or corrupt use of anyone's Noble blood or title to get their way or to get away with things, she rarely even uses her family's influence or name to begin with let alone for power.

Personality Characteristics

Motivation

Her desire to find a cure to her condition and curse, her Yuan-Ti lineage. This is all done in the name of seeking the approval, acceptance, and love of her family.

Savvies & Ineptitudes

Savvy: She is a rather talented healer, with extensive knowledge on humanoid anatomy and how to cure most wounds and ailments. She can also be rather clever due to her random bits of knowledge from her random readings. Ineptitude: Anything athletic or physical, and she is socially awkward due to her life in seclusion in the tower.

Likes & Dislikes

Likes: She likes all fluffy and feathery animals, though many are scared of her due to her hidden serpentine nature. She also enjoys snacks, desserts, and various treats; and like any noblewoman, she enjoys shiny & sparkly things. Dislikes: She loathes snakes of all kinds and calibers; no matter size, shape, or color. She also greatly disapproves of corrupt or obnoxious nobles, they bring down the whole nobility and aristocracy with their repulsive behavior.

Virtues & Personality perks

She is genuinely kind and sweet to others, even strangers. She found its easier to blend and not draw attention to herself by being polite and courteous to others.

Vices & Personality flaws

She can be a bit of a klutz sometimes due to her unathletic life and seclusion, and sometimes her drive and desire for a cure can get the better of her.

Personality Quirks

Her sense of humor is lacking due to a lack of exposure, she sometimes can't tell when something is a joke or not.

Hygiene

She is accustomed to very hygienic lifestyle due to her life in the tower, but she is not above getting dirty with the rest of the common rabble. So long as she can take her bath when she needs or wants to, she is happy.

Social

Contacts & Relations

The entirety of the Delphi family, Estate, and servants/vassals beneath them. She has no official contact with them, but if she were to use her ring or pedigree papers then they'd be able to track her down.

Family Ties

The Delphi family has many ties to many other noble families the aristocracy, with various guilds and merchants, many different temples, and even the Imperium Academia. But those are the Delphi ties, not Medea's. Family Tree: Father Midas Delphi, Mother Medusa Delphi, an older brother Phoebus, and a younger sister Artemesia.

Religious Views

She is proud Cleric and servant of Hecate; a goddess of magic and doorways. She of all the gods and goddesses answered her prayers, she alone gave her a way out of her imprisonment and put her on the path of finding a cure to her curse. For that she has earned her undying loyalty and all the other gods are beneath her as they did nothing for her.

Social Aptitude

Despite her private education and tutelage, she is very limited when it comes to dealing with social situations; especially when dealing with other nobles or those in power. Most young noblemen and noblewomen are trained extensively in such things, she was not.

Mannerisms

She is polite by commoner standards, but not necessarily by noble ones. If she was taught proper noble etiquette, she sure doesn't show it.

Hobbies & Pets

She really wants a pet, preferably something fluffy or feathery (not snakes). As far as hobbies go, she loves to play with her Tarot cards and do readings for fun.

Speech

She is rather well spoken, and can speak in the cadence and voice of a noble. This sometimes works against her as she is incognito while searching for her cure.

Wealth & Financial state

Whatever is on her person at the time, though if she were to drop the Delphi name at a bank or store then she probably could get away with more.

A "Human" Noble who was born a Yuan-Ti Pureblood, locked away from the world by her family. With nothing to do but read and pray for salvation from her curse, the Goddess Hecate freed her and named her a Cleric.

    001 The Cracked Flagon

-I had finally made it, I had finally gotten to "The Cracked Flagon" (odd name, but no one will be looking for me here). I found a nice seat in the corner, keeping my hood up I surveyed the room. I kept an eye on the guards in the Inn, hoping they didn't notice me as I tried to calm myself by doing a tarot reading. -I looked up again from the cards to notice an elf sitting down the way from me, her eyes glued to a Halfling sitting at the bar near an inebriated Tiefling. -Suddenly a scholar from the Imperium Academia (IA) showed up and walked over to the bar striking up a conversation with the Tiefling. I could not hear what they were saying but the Scholar looking like he was trying to be very friendly ... The Tiefling was quite ... not. -I giant thrashing sound came from the basement and the scholar and the Tiefling headed for the stairs. I looked up at the guards to see if they would possibly go and assist but they did not move from their table. Then they got up and moved to leave. -The Elf still eyes fixed on the Halfling at the bar moved to the bar next to the Halfling who was clearly very drunk but something else. For some reason, the whole thing did not feel right to me. The Elf muttered, "You stole my paintbrush" to the halfling and then picked him up under there arm and started for the door. -I spoke up stopping the elf and asked if their friend was alright. They said that it didn't matter ... he would be dinner in a few moments. -That made me pause, concerned that the poor guy had been poisoned I cast shape water and attempted to extract the poison or alcohol from his system in the hope that he would feel better. Well... let's just say that dehydration can occur in those cases. --Luckily the scholar and Tiefling returned at this point accompanied by a Tortle. The scholar noticing that I was trying to stop her, tried to talk to the Elf in Elvish -she finally threw the poor Halfling down on one of the tables. I quickly went over and cast Create and destroy water to rehydrate the halfling and stabilize him. -The Tortle and Tiefling both looked at me and shook their head. The Tiefling stated that I might be in trouble for that, I told them I was a Cleric of Hecate and it would be fine. -The Tavern owned disappeared into the back. -The Tiefling asked if I had any type of insurance policy for that ... (I quickly flashed him my pedigree (just enough for him to know I was nobility). -The Elf and Human sat and talked for a few minutes the Tortle was energetic and freaked out about something going on about magic and how we should probably leave. -The Tavern owner was spouting about magic, the Tortal was pointing at me. I rolled my eyes and went over to the bar placed my pedigree and two gold coins on the table, he swiped the coins and stated "not you... Her." pointing to the Elf then called her a "Demon". -The Tiefling then began speaking to the elf in Abyssal to the elf and she began to reply. The Tiefling mentioned the word "Windigo" and the Tortle and Scholar freaked out. Suddenly for a flicker of time, I saw the true form of the creature a giant antlered monster, pale and boney. -I mentioned that we should probably get the heck out of here which most agreed. -The Guards had returned and were blocking the exit though. The lights flickered and the elf and the guards were gone all that was left was us the halfling and the owner. -On the table was the Ring of Xray Vision, The Tortle saw the ring and instantly began to run towards it claiming it as her own. -The scholar decided that we needed to go to the library in order to get further info about the windigo and the town. I was leery about heading into the noble side of town where there would be more guards and less ways for me to hide.

    003 The Graveyard

-we entered the graveyard and began looking around -we noticed that some of the graves looked fresh but the tombstones were decades old. -Janott used the ring of Xray Vision to look at the bodies that were buried there and noticed that pieces were missing and that the bodies were also not human. -While we were investigating the graves Wrath decided to go talk to the Grave Keeper to get information. -A few moments later... Wrath grabs me... drags me into the Grave Keepers cabin where I see the Grave Keeper lying on the ground dying. -Wrath demands that I heal him (he needs to get information)... I cast Cure Wounds on him which heals his legs but he has drank something that is blocking his airway so I also attempt to unblock it by casting Shape water. -The Grave Keeper is still having trouble breathing so Wrath takes his Sword... and plunges it into his throat... killing him. (WHAT THE HELL) -Bran pulled out a small shard and sucked the soul out of the Gave Keeper... realizing what he had done... I slapped him (The soul should have been free to move on, not taken away) -Bran then began to talk to the shard ... (I quickly pulled my tarot cards out and did a reading ... It foretold disappointment... ) -Bran replied that the poor Grave Keeper's memory had been completely erased ... -Wrath was disappointed and looked worried about something -He showed us a coin and asked us what we saw... Bran saw a House Cat... Janott saw a snake... and I saw a Beatle. This worried him further. -Wrath then showed us to a hidden hatch that led down into a secret tunnel ... we figure that that there had to be something hidden at the bottom ... and Wrath was determined to find them. -So we headed down the hatch...
