Deep Space Marauders

The Deep Space Marauders are a secretive collective of alien species with the mission of striking fear and chaos into the hearts and minds of government officials.     The collective is made up of many members of different alien species; Tolana, Rhonians, Soli, Dakuians, Humans, and other species throughout the galaxies. These are disaffected and disenfranchised people, frustrated with their societies and governments for various personal reasons. Most are former military, political, or economic leaders, frustrated by decisions made or personally attacked/impacted by decisions. For most of these actions, but public is unaware of, and the Marauders had little power to change anything.   The leader of the Mauraders, a Tolana named Keran, is a former Rhetorician of the Tolana, thus extremely skilled and capable of convincing people to join us mission, using logic and emotional appeals to persuade people to buy into his mission. He, and the collective, believe that by causing fear and chaos into society, they can expose the weaknesses, diluting public trust in government. As they collect intelligence, information will be revealed at strategic times, swaying public fear an opinion. Through strategic attacks and timed release of governmental secrets, people will begin to rise up. When the time is right, the Marauders will lead attacks to topple the governments.   The Marauders live on a collective of stolen space ships, repurposed to support more daily life and also conduct stealth missions, appearing like cargo and trade ships to unsuspecting ports. While initially seen as terrorists and outlaws, as the Visak attacks continue and the governments of countries fail to adequately fight and respond to the attacks, support for the Marauders is growing and recruitment to their mission is becoming easier. Many, however, question the ultimate goal of the Marauders, concerned at the intergalactic chaos and starting over with new leaders would not change fundamental problems in may of the societies.
