The Extermination Precept

A period of time in which Laran was fairly active in enacting its Eugenics policies, where the state would sterilize and exterminate aliens and other undesirables (Those with Physical and Mental Disabilities). It was halted due to researchers discovering that this was causing a general decrease in imperial efficiency and effectiveness.

The Period of time known as the Extermination Precept was a good few centuries when Laran went through with its ideas of cleansing the Rift of the unclean. This manifested in purging conquered world and sterilizing much of the alien population, along with killing those who displayed mental or physical disabilities. (They were fine with LGBTA+ people). Those who were able to prove that they would be beneficial to the state were allowed to live, in keeping with Laran's (Self-Aware Master-Race theory).

However, Intelligence researchers found that these Eugenics policies led to an overall decline in happiness, innovativeness, propaganda effectiveness, and overall efficiency. After a decade or so of appealing the issue, the Laka Council agreed to run some experiments on large sectors of Laran, and when what they found supported the scientists claims, the policies were immediately reversed. This doesn't mean the stigma doesn't still exist, it is still seeped into Larani society. But now, aliens, neurodivergent people, physically disabled people, and many others have more than a shot in the dark's chance of survival and success within Laran.

Meta: This was added as I felt that I wasn't getting across just how terrible of a place Laran is. They are space Nazis, and if you like them in any way more than "Fun Characters! Cool Designs! Fascinating Narrative & Society!" Then you are a shit person. If you agree with any of the actions taken before the reversal of the Precepts, you need to re-evaluate yourself. These are not good people, at best you have Lawful Neutral major characters.
