Far Below the Surface
In the darkest depths of the water that surrounds our land there lies a sleeping terror. A monster with the power to destroy cities, to crumble mountains, and to strike fear into the hearts of any who witness its terror. Lost to history on the ocean floor, the stories are myth and legend, not taken seriously among the people of the land. Fictions and fables are how they speak of it now.
They don't know the real purpose of this beast. They don't know what trifling with the natural forces in their world will do, or what consequence they invite to land in their ignorance. They think stories can't hurt them. They think myths are the stories of primitive peoples who know nothing of natural law and cosmic order. They are wrong. And they will soon find out just how wrong they are.
