Lagharia
"Eclipse, are you sure this place you're talking about even exists? You talk about it like you were just there yesterday with how much clarity you use describing it!" I tell him as I read his expression. It was as if he actually believed every word, he was telling me was TRUE somehow! An infinite city in the sky! How fucking preposterous! Even Infinitum SURELY must have limits! How could he even PRETEND to lie to me in such an absurd manner!? Do I have to prove this fucker wrong to get him to see why I truly came here?
"Of course I'm sure Chronias! Do you really distrust me so much?" Oh, playing that card this time, are we? How many times have I had to tell him this by now? 50? 500? I hate how much I need to repeat myself.
It's always "What you're saying is impossible!" and he always says, "You need to think clearer!" like, BITCH!? HELLO!? EARTH TO ECLIPSE! I'M YOUR THERAPIST! That's kind of what I'm supposed to do! However, he just goes on and on in these infinite loops that it's my job to break. I will go through with this for him, but Calypso had BETTER have something BIG planned here. I don't know how I can actually reach him and break through to him that he's a true time traveler. Not only a time traveler, but the patron saint of all time travelers. Of all Twilight Shades. Of all Chroniclers. All my research into Lagharia has led me to him. He must figure this out eventually... right?
We must work together. Heart souls and spirits intertwined. Damnit Eclipse! Why did you have to be so vague the last time you sent me back in time for you!? This is really just getting ridiculously out of hand now! I feel... wait... trapped infinitely... Is this what he'd meant the last time he recanted the stories?? Are... are we all in his headspace without knowing it? I guess... if I learn more about this Lagharia place, maybe I'll get my answers... even if... I don't entirely want them yet. I'm.. really scared of what I'm going to find out about the man I've loved this time. What changes does this timeline hold? Can we actually bring him back from the brink of death? Or... was him dying... just something we could never prevent?
No... NO! I refuse to believe he's really dead. I MUST TRY TO FIND OUT WHERE TO FIND LAGHARIA!
Demographics
Equal bounties for all was the goal of the existence of Lagharia. Unfotunately, due to the meddling of Calypso, the Mad Titan from their perspective, everything was ultimately completely wiped clean. It was as if billions suddenly vanished in an instant. All the pillars of Lagharia immediately vanished like it was all just some sick magic trick from the mad titan. I do not know much more than this, but I will speak more with the Detective of Lagharia, Eclipse, to discover more important pertinent information.
Government
Each pillar is its own miniature governance. That much I remember from what Eclipse has told me. So, when someone is added to their headspace, a member of the Twilight Shades would, in a sense, be introducing a new pillar to their personal inner castle. No matter where they roamed, their trusted advisors would always have at least one location they would be completely safe. In the mind of the Shade as the host of the body controlling Lagharia in that moment. Essentially it was like a solipsist religion. If the leader dies? The entire civilization goes with it. I can see why Calypso viewed that as being built from false logic, but an entire genocidal cleansing? Isn't that too far?
Defences
The defenses was usually a sealed symbol only viewable by those considered an asset to the individual Twilight Shade's life mission. For Eclipse, he had told me it was to find a partner. He could even do so remotely! From the second I was found in Convex Cove I had absolutely no memory of anything from my previous life. Could... my parents have actually been Twilight Shades? If so... how on earth did Calypso ever kill them if their defenses could theoretically... be truly infinite? More will likely be shown on this as I do the research. WE MUST FIND THE MATHMATICAL PROOFS HERE OR WE SURELY ARE ALL DOOMED.
Industry & Trade
Thoughts are as infinite as the darkness they are formed from. Trade and exchange of ideas is truly what is the rarest and most valued commodity. There was something Eclipse mentioned to me... a label of a concept... some kind of... COLLECTIVE UNCONSCIOUS!? Is THAT how this place was able to exist in the first place!? So... maybe the trade of ideas was to build each other up unconsciously... This is... INCREDIBLE!
Infrastructure
Thought is the building block upon which all of Lagharia was conceived. How do you create anything? Why from infinite darkness of course! That's what Eclipse introduced me to this mission with. To create a new version of Lagharia in a different timeline. That's why I was compelled to study at all in the first place. However, from everything I've ever done in life, this is simply impossible. Time only moves in one direction forever. Right?
Districts
Every individual dragon has their reserved castle in this infinite black sky. He told me that dragons would fly from castle to castle, perched upon a single floating land mass in this infinite darkness of storms and clouds. No one would ever enter into the darkness directly, unless it was to collect water from the raging clouds. Travel between "districts" was always just a quick flight away!
Assets
The abilities that the Twilight Shade species was capable of have been told in legends countless times. Stockpiles of treasure that would glow brighter than the sun! Research that would extend upward in infinite libraries! Bankers might have the perfect place to store any valuable pieces of information to make for nearly perfect spy-work that could never be detected. The true potential asset value of a place like this would break anything we tried to record it on. Including setting papers on fire or frying circuitry in the mind of any lesser being who was foolish enough to try to ascend to this point without the help of a Twilight Shade. Is that what Calypso truly wants? To rule over a new version of Lagharia?
Guilds and Factions
Each dragon is considered their own faction. There however is no warfare, only the peaceful exchange of ideas and concepts. That's what Eclipse thought but his perception has proven to sadly.. be VERY unreliable. It still begs the question... Did Calypso think the Twilight Shades were planning to go to war with him? Why would he ever want to exterminate another infinite race like the Shades? Wouldn't he rather want to crack into their minds and discover untold truths he hadn't considered or proofed before? Or... no... did he... never prove he was God infinitum? Well... I'm still standing after thinking that... so... there's some thoughts even he can't read!? I don't know whether to be excited or disturbed honestly.
History
Lagharia was a society where no one needed to chronicle anything. That, as a researcher is my biggest criticism of their system. How can one not continue to make the same mistakes forever if you don't have at least SOMETHING structurally sound to formulate the basis of your thoughts? Is that maybe what Calypso was thinking too? UGH no. I don't want to think the same as a genocidal maniac. Let's just move on.
Points of interest
The leader of Lagharia, chief elder supreme, Eclipse, leads over the settlement. Is he really so vain as to believe that his own castle was so much more valuable and important than EVERYONE ELSES!? Geez saint geezum, this one is a conceited one indeed. Maybe that's what Eclipse truly wants deep down. SOMEONE TO TELL HIM HE'S A FUCKING MORON.
Tourism
It was said that any race of any kind could be entrusted. However, they were exceptionally vetted to match their distinct need for inner secrecy. Afterall, being under Calypso's death grip proves how essential it is to protect one's own thoughts. Once entrusted, a person of any origin could enter Lagharia through the writing of a symbolic rune upon the Twilight Shade's forehead, and then the trusted individual would be allowed to touch the symbol. Eclipse's is the Infinity Symbol. That means this could be exceptionally hard to break mathematically. Afterall, debunking infinity takes an infinite amount of time... doesn't it? Just how much time have I even been working on this article? Maybe I need a break...
Architecture
The pillars are typically formed from a material that Eclipse called "Aethrite," which apparently just are chunks of cumulonimbus or cloud pieces! They say that they formulated new pieces of structure with that in their free time as they needed. Their thoughts would basically become avatars of themselves in the background, like controlling a character in one of my favorite civilization builder games! Then, through intense meditative practice, the dragon could return into their headspace themselves and basically control their "avatar" as if they were directly there. I suppose that helps me get a better idea of how you turn abstract thought into something tangible, but I thought all this spiritual crap was non-sense! How could you make spirituality into something tangible!?
Geography
There were so many different small land masses, and those would be the roots of infinite potential according to Eclipse's stories. I just hope that this time I can remember to write this down. Ok... so before I "forget" again, the locations were massive structures. Castles that could go as high up as the person lived for. Some of the tallest towers equated to those who built up the strongest and most.... sincere.... loves? Is... Eclipse... in love with me? Is that why this place... no no, have to focus. This is for his sake. He told me to keep this hermit shell for a reason. Now where do I PUT IT!?
Climate
The land masses are always on top of clouds, but there are clouds above too for some reason. They apparently rise up alongside the top of the tallest structure in Lagharia, Eclipse's tower. Is... Eclipse actually a title? Rather than his name? If so... then what's his actual name? Does he even remember one for himself? A... anyways, he always told me that the clouds represent little brain storms. It was... honestly really cute to hear him regale me with tales of his homeland. I hope I can hear him do that again someday.
Natural Resources
Thought and darkness were the only resources. Eclipse gets really sad whenever he has to say the word "were." I really hope that this time, he gets to finally go home and stay where he belongs. In my arms. Safe and happy forever is what I wish for my darling Eclipse. If you ever do get to read this... I'm... crying but keep in mind. I will cry infinite tears if that means this will reach you someday. Love, Chronias.
RUINED SETTLEMENT
Unknown. Calypso obviously has a hand in its ruination. However, time is a very fickle and impossible to understand concept around here.
