Mounted. During a long rest, the shatterbeard mule can designate one creature that rode it within the last 10 days as its rider. The shatterbeard mule gains temporary hit points equal to 4 times the rider’s level or challenge rating after completing the long rest. The shatterbeard mule uses its rider’s proficiency bonus in place of its own proficiency bonus for AC, ability checks, attack rolls, saving throws, and the DC made to save against certain action effects. As a bonus action on the riders turn the rider can command the shatterbeard mule mount to take one of it's actions in its stat block or to take the Dash, Disengage, or Dodge action. Horsepower. The shatterbeard mule begins charging if it moves at least 15 feet in a straight line and continues charging until it stops moving forward. While charging, the mule’s long jump is up to 45 feet and it ignores difficult terrain. Pack Animal. A shatterbeard mule wearing a pack saddle OR pulling a carriage, cart, chariot, sled, or wagon can move weight up to six times its base carrying capacity, including the weight of the vehicle. If multiple animals pull the same vehicle, they can add their carrying capacity bonus together. Sure Footed. The shatterbeard mule has a climb speed of 15ft on cliff faces and other natural barriers (at the DMs discretion)
