Orn Goldenscale

A paladin of the ancient order of the Sun from long before modern times. He served the god of the Sun, Nalandan, over a thousand years ago. Orn was a legendary figure of the ancient sun religion who led the armies of the light against the mythical god of shadows. Orn is still mentioned in the sacred texts held in the library in Sunstone. There is also a mural of Orn in The Serene Gardens, but the art is merely known as the Goldenscale.
No one alive knows what happened to Orn, and there were only a few in Orns time that knew. It was at his gods command that he waited in a magical stasis so he could be where he was needed. Orn was then sealed in catacombs beneath the Halls of Sunlight.
During the events of For Hooves the Bells Tolls Orn encountered the party when they were in the underground ruins of what was once the halls of Sunlight. The party freed Orn from his stasis to discover that it was Quthbert that Orn was waiting for. Orn told them what he knew about the god of the sun, but even Thorzan had never heard the name Nalandan. When Thorzan tells Orn, Vitta, Brother of the Sun is the sun god now Orn seems very surprised and mentions that Nalandans high priest was named Vitta.
Shortly after this Quthbert was killed by a dark spirit infesting the catacombs. Orn now understanding why he was sent here to wait, says a final prayer and trades his life for Quthberts.
