Dremus Bear

The bears of the Drema marsh that have evolved to be hairless to better survive in the dark mire. The lack of fur allows the bear to travel throw the watery portions of the marsh more easily and quietly. They have also manifested tougher hides, over something like a grizzly bear, due to needing to retain more heat and provide extra protection with less to no fur.   They have lost some of the bulk of their grizzly ancestors, but not their aggression. They make up for the lack of bulk with more speed and a tendency to form small packs, more akin to wolves than tradition bear families. They aren't as good at tracking as wolves, but they make up for their lack of tracking by waiting at locations that prey visit for long periods of time and ambushing them if they approach.
