Fairy Rum

Overview

The Stronghaven Royal Mages make a special rum for the Stronghave Royal Family. It's fermented, then distilled with a mixture of sugarcane molasses, fairy dust and pixie magic. It's aged in special elven oak barrels for 10 years before being purified with elven magic. Only a handful of barrels are made each year and several are sacrificed to topping off other barrels due to evaporation.
These casks of rum are them served on special occasions only to the Royal family at feast and gatherings, such as Weddings, Births, Funerals, or a Coronation. It is considered a great honor to be included in taking a drink with the Royal family on one of these occasions. It rarely ever happens.

Special Magic In The Rum

Fairy Dust

Fairy Dust causes the rum to have visual hallucinogenic properties. Anyone drinking the rum will see things that aren't really there. These could be people, lights, or visual patterns.

Pixie Magic

Pixie Magic causes the rum to have prophetic properties. Anyone drinking the rum will know things that could come true. These things have a higher likelihood of coming true than normal.

Magical Combination

When the two, Fairy Dust and Pixie Magic, are added together, it causes the most spectacular prophetic visions to occur. Most of these visions have been have be known to come true. The Royal family of Stronghaven have used these visions to guide their rule for many generations. They rarely if ever let anyone outside the family partake of the Fairy Rum.
