Common name given to the global hegemony of The Princes. In different places and times the power of the empire could be overt and take the shape of actual authoritarian governmental apparatuses. In other times and places of post-Cataclysmic history, the power of the Hidden Empire has been felt in more indirect ways. This manner of influencing the fate of nations has been called the influence of the Hidden Hand.
