The Party Settles a Score
General Summary
It is March 3rd, 1000 PCE. The Party rendezvoused with companions new and old in the the ruins of Tabazan’s Arena district, where they defeated a holdout band of Vril mercenaries.
Afterwards, the PCs returned to Zoran Mander’s apartments in the Tabazan citadel and spoke more of the Watchers, the Seven Sentinels, the Hidden Empire, and the warlord XHAN.

Durance and Umagro Defeated
Tobias, Darmok, and William rejoined the rest of the Party during the middle of a sprawling melee on the outskirts of the Arena district. The PCs had challenged Vril mercenaries occupying the arena to do battle and made reacquaintance with a Vril trader named Umagro and his pit-fighting partner, Durance (who had already been rendered unconscious in the fighting). Some Vril fighters were trying to take Durance away from the battle, but Tobias used his jet pack to intercept them and capture the Vril champion.
Darmok tangled with a band of enemy reinforcements, while William distracted the enemy from the rooftops. The rest of the PCs steadily pushed the Vril warriors back, and Edmund managed to slay Umagro in an anticlimactic rooftop clash. The Vrils’ morale broke thereafter, and the remaining combatants set themselves to flight.
The Party apprehended a few of the Vril warriors and gathered up the enemy band’s gear, including an assortment of magical weapons and armour. They then turned their surviving captives over to the Tabazan city authorities and returned to Mander Zoran’s apartments in the Citizen’s Palace to have Zoran examine the spoils of battle and converse further on the history and myths of the Forbidden Zone and beyond.

The Party spoke again with Zoran Mander, who warned them that the Tabazan authorities were growing uncomfortable having the PCs sticking around the city. William and Tobias had noticed the city guards searching the forest for the Party earlier that day. (William successfully led the searchers away from the Tercelet, but the attempt did not bode well for any plans the PCs may have had to leave their ship for an extended period of time.)
The PCs had questions about the Princes of the Hidden Empire, though Zoran was not very knowledgeable on the subject. He did, however, speak of XHAN’s famous campaigns against the Vril in the Silverlands of the northern Zone. He also affirmed that he did not believe a tomb dedicated to Bishop was located under the waters of Tabazan.
