Sol Asteroid Belt

The Sol Asteroid Belt consists of millions of asteroids, many are the shattered remnants of planetoids during the formation of solar system. Most asteroids are classified into three main types: C-type, M-type, and S-type.
C-type asteroids are rich in carbons.
M-type asteroids are rich in metals.
S-type asteroids are rich in silicates.
Since mankind's advent into space, humans have mined the asteroid belt for usable resources.
Humans have been living and mining in the asteroid belt long enough to give rise to a new ethnicity, the Belter.
