Nortica Island Chain

Nortica Island Chain is connected to each other by ice making it as large as a continent , but the ice has a tendency to break revealing the islands that connect it all together.

Geography

The 21 islands dot the north eastern portion of the known world. While typically a cold tundra biome, people do live on these islands utilizing the ground heat that is produced beneath the surface. Most of the islands have volcanic activity and the local tribes use it to stay warm throughout the year. Each island is has their own peak. Snowfall is daily from the the storms thee arise from the south.

Fauna & Flora

Lunar Leopard Seal

These dangerous pinnipeds, live in the island chain as the hunt the chipper penguins to the north as they migrate south to warmer waters. However, they do targetsapein creatures as well, killing many who cross their paths. They also have the ability to use lunar magics, thus can mask their size. They do not provide any known economic benefit.

Whale Bear

Whale Bears are massive creatures that stand 20 ft tall on their back legs with a coat of blubber to keep them warm, they can dive deep into the cold ocean waters and return to the service without hindrance. They are apex predators and hunt sapiens as a pss time. They are extremely dangerous with a frost breath and sharp claws and teeth. Killing one is a great feat.

Natural Resources

Whale Bear Bones

Some of the strongest natural material in existence. Carving them can not only make a strong toll, but also a dangerous weapon. They are highly sought after, but due to their environment, they are currently quite safe from a massive hunting expedition.

The heat from the islands have been used to created powerfully strong tools, sadly, we don't have the resources to exploit it.
