Goblin

Goblins prefer to dwell in caves, amid dense thickets of thistles and brambles or in structures built and then abandoned by others. Goblin tribes are often found along the coastline, as they are fond of sifting through junk and flotsam in an unending quest to find treasures among the refuse of the more civilized races.   Goblins have a deep hatred of gnomes (who have long fought against goblins), horses (as they frighten goblins tremendously), and dogs (whom they regard as pale imitations of their own goblin dogs). Goblins are also quite superstitious. Even those that live in cities treat magic with a mixture of awe and fear. They have a habit of ascribing magic to the mundane as well, with fire and writing both taking on mystical powers in goblin society. Fire is much loved by goblins for its capacity to wreak destruction and because it doesn't require size or strength to wield.   Few goblins rise above their superstitions, but those that do find that the world outside their warrens is full of possibilities. These goblin adventurers still have a hard time surviving within the civilized world, but they make excellent scouts, pig farmers and adventurers when they are given a chance.   Play a goblin if you want…

Appearance: Goblins are a small race, with green skin and an oversized head with a mouth full of razor sharp teeth. Their skin tones range from gray to deep green. The men have red or yellow eyes and thick black or grey hair. Females often have red or purple eyes and fiery red, ash grey or black hair.
   

Goblin Racial Traits*

–2 Strength, +4 Dexterity, and –2 Charisma: Goblins are fast, but weak and unpleasant to be around.
Goblinoid: Goblins are humanoids with the goblinoid subtype.
Small: Goblins are Small creatures and gain a +1-size bonus to their AC, a +1-size bonus on attack rolls, a –1 penalty to their CMB and CMD, and a +4-size bonus on Stealth checks.
Fast: Goblins are fast for their size and have a base speed of 30 feet.
Darkvision: Goblins can see in the dark up to 60 feet.
Skilled: Goblins have a +4 racial bonus on Ride and Stealth checks.
Languages: Goblins begin play speaking Goblin. Goblins with high Intelligence scores can choose any of these bonus languages: Common, Draconic, Dwarven, Gnoll, Gnome, Halfling, and Orc.
