Thaddeus Addams

High Admiral

Addams is the ultimate commander (High Admiral) of the United Systems Astronautics Core (USAC). He rose to renown while serving as the executive officer of the USAC Cruiser Exigence during the Odyssey Incident. The vessel's captain was killed in the opening moments of the engagement, and Addams took command, leading the fleet, and other surviving vessels, to safety.

History & Career

Thaddeus Addams was born in Carolina, in the Northern United Americas (Consisting of Former United States, Canada, and Mexico and led by a democratic council of leaders from across the Americas). He was top of his class at the Northern United Military Academy College (NUMAC) and, after serving in several military conflicts across the globe, decided to shift to the private sector. He was chosen as the Chief Security Officer of the New Lunar Colony. He met his wife, Annabeth Addams (Nee Hastings) on New Luna, where she was stationed as the Chief Engineer. Their daughter, Maria Addams, was one of the first infants conceived on New Luna during Thaddeus's time as CSO.

Thaddeus served with distinction, but did see a black mark on his record for a particularly aggressive suppression of a riot which broke out during a period of food rationing when 3 of the colony's 6 farms failed to yield adequate harvests.

Thaddeus next chose to take to the stars by joining the newly formed USAC. He rose through the ranks quickly, and found himself as the Executive Officer aboard a USAC vessel during humanities first fateful meeting with the Exis.

He was promoted to General shortly after that engagement, and has been spearheading the war effort since then.

Personality

Thaddeus was kind to those he met; however, he was also firm and stoic, leading some to think of him as cold. As the military leader of the USAC, he had to make decisions and sacrifices that haunted him. Unbeknownst to any but his wife, he kept a list of every person who died on his watch, and felt each loss deeply.
