Mooncrest Ocean

The Mooncrest Ocean represents the dividing sea between Ameril and Shyan along with it's namesake, with the moon appearing to the east. With large swells and frequent storms the seas are usually only sailed once passed the Frozen Sea and never too close to the Stormborn Sea. Most who travel to the east keep close to coasts and the only consistent trade is that done in the inlet of The Giant's Mouth between Port Telorn and Fargate.
Notable locations within the ocean include;
The Mudwater: An area of shallows that stems from the Three Sisters Forest and the Trespass Ranges.
Anguillan Waters: The area around Anguila where pirates are most frequent.
Giants Mouth: The relatively calm inlet that allows a trade between The Heartlands and Northcrest.
Alistair's Bay: The bay upon which Meridith sits.
The Sheer: The area off the coast of The Teeth.
Shining Shore: Named after the shining sunrises that crest from the ocean that reflect off the bergs and icy waters to the east.
The Glittershoals: So named for the glitter of Spellstone dust that drifts from both the streams and the wrecks of ships transporting larger loads that are sunk.
