Eiders Mourn

A large icy swamp that dominates the centre of Northcrest. Home to a massive battle during the Fall, where the Human forces led by a man named Eider was forced to retreat and have their last stand.
Many say the area is haunted by the Wraith's of those who died and the shadowy servants of The Unmaker they fought. Even so, the main road is a major trade route between Blackbrook, ports to the south and Winters Edge.
Other than disease, travelers should be wary of tides and flash floods which can catch one off guard and stranded on ever shrinking island in the swamps. Various other nasties live in the swamps and rivers, including various varieties of dangerous marine life along with clans of Troglodytes and occasional Leshen .
