Fergus' Upgrades
These upgrades are the result of Fergus Dalriada's delightful tinkering!
The upgrades he invented are as follows:
Blast Scabbard: With a click of a button your sword will BLAST out of its scabbard and into your hands faster than most can react!
You may spend an Action before activating it to automatically catch and make an attack with the sword this upgrade is on, dealing double damage.
If you spend a Bonus Action or Reaction instead, you must make a luck roll ( 1d20 ) & get >10 to attempt to make an attack that deals double damage. If you fail this check, you fail to catch the sword & it lands two (2) tiles away and you must go grab it again.
Note: You can only use Blast Scabbard on a non-legendary Sword.
Regardless of if you spend an Action, Bonus Action, or Reaction, you must still roll your To-Hit roll to hit your intended target
Explosive Coating: You wish for your weapons & shields to pack a bit more of an explosive punch when used! Each time a hit is made with a weapon with this upgrade (or an attack blocked with a shield with this upgrade): deal 1d6 bonus True Damage to your target (or who/whatever hit your shield)!
Note: When the effect occurs, you must make a save ( 1d20 ) & get >10 or you'll also take the same damage your opponent takes.
Blocking &/or Parrying also activate this effect.
This upgrade needs to be reapplied after Every Short Rest or Long Rest
Manual Augment Trigger: Augments can be inconsistent, but luckily with the help of Arcane Voltage, you can guarantee any chance-effects from them with an arcane blast of elemental power!
This upgrade does negate the Augments entirely otherwise, however, and gives the weapon a trigger just for the Augment that takes an Action to activate.
Note: The arcane blast from this Augment trigger is guaranteed to hit.
Your weapon no longer gains the passive from the Augment.
It costs three (3) stacks of Arcane Voltage to activate this manual trigger.
The activation of the trigger does not deal the weapon damage, just the Augment's effect.
If you're using the Corrupt Elemental Weaponry Augments instead of the Elemental Weaponry Augments, this trigger consumes six (6) stacks of Arcane Voltage instead of three (3).
