The Frosthead Kingdom

The Frosthead Kingdom

-Directly North of The Kingdom of Ascensia, The Frosthead Kingdom acts as the main trading partner to Ascensia and other, more-inland, nations & kingdoms. Offering easy access to the Iamic Ocean and all other nations who share this massive body of water, The Frosthead Kingdom is an economic powerhouse in a region of the world that sees a lot of demand for military might.

-Named after the first ruling class of ice-mages that, once dethroned, ended up cursing the lands to have extremely harsh winters that begin far earlier and end far later than most areas of the region with similar geography. This makes tending to livestock and crops incredibly difficult, though many peasant folk have discovered a handful of crops that can survive the harsh conditions; but these crops don't grow well enough to make a living on.

-The Frosthead Kingdom has strong trade agreements with The Kingdom of Ascensia due to both of them sharing a similar threat of invasion from the expansionist empire of Xylotile in the West. In addition, The Frosthead Kingdom imports most of their crops from Ascensia in exchange for some of their domestic resources.

-Most people in this kingdom are hunters, merchants, or mountain-men. Occasionally a mage is born or awakened, but it's a rarity; especially considering how many are so gifted just south in The Kingdom of Ascensia. The average person of The Frosthead Kingdom tends to be hardier than those found in other regions of the world due to the harsh seasonal cycles.

-The Frosthead Kingdom has many towns, settlements, and cities, but the most important ones are: Creya, Fauxbre, Heïde, and its capital of Snowmelt.
