Magic Shops

Across Idoria, there are a vast variety of shops! Some sell food, some sell armours & weapons, some sell services, and some sell nonsense! One of the shops that is common in Idoria is a "Magic Shop" (Not to be confused with a Magical Shop).

Magic Shops are where one can assume to find their typical basic magic items. They don't specialize in specific magic items, but they have a wide variety of items for the general needs of many!

Magical Shop

Magic is a very common thing in Idoria, and as such shops that sell magical trinkets are common across the globe! This page contains typical items that you'd find.

Potions & Enchantments have wildly different costs based on how strong of an effect and how long of a duration you want; as such their prices aren't listed in this table. See Potions and Enchantments for more information.

Scrolls allow one to cast the spell written on its parchment even without knowing how to cast that spell! It also does not require any Spell Castings to use nor does it consume any (unless the spell effect specifies that it does)! Scrolls are 1-time use items and get consumed by the process of using them. See Scrolls for more information.

Similar to Scrolls, Runes are a way to allow the casting of a spell without expending or needing Spell Castings. They are also consumed when used; but unlike Scrolls, Runes are more intended for setting traps or being reactive rather than proactive (ex: Scrolls you use on your turn to cast a spell. Runes you typically engrave or place onto a surface and it will automatically resolve when broken, the conditions of the spell are met, or based on proximity depending on the spell. Though one could also just break it in their hands to force the spell to resolve immediately as well). See Runes for more information.

Note: When purchasing a Scroll or Rune, make sure that if the spell you are looking on getting has an up-casting cost, that the Scroll or Rune is of the appropriate tier (i.g: <spell that normally costs 1x SC>, but you want to cast it for its 2x SC cost, you'd need a Tier 2 Scroll or Rune for it).
