Western Satrapy

West of the Tehrakh Mountains stretches the Western Satrapy. While more hospitable than the Endless Sands, the deserts here are harsh enough in their own right. Settlements are clustered around scattered oases and winding rivers, with heavily trafficked trade lines connecting them. With Geothermal vents in the east and vibrant forests in the west, the Western Satrapy has access to many rare and luxurious goods. This region is ruled from the provincial capital at Zakar, the Jewel of the Desert

Geography

Primarily desert, but with scattered forests along the western coast. Along the Tehrakh mountains in the northeast are geothermal hotsprings, geysers, and boiling sands.

Natural Resources

Lavasalt from the geothermal vents, rare spices from the forests. Exotic hides in the north.
