Gatherer

Florivian trade

A Florivian trade - the majority of the population actually takes up this occupation, partly because the trade tests are the least difficult, and partly because the job is in great demand. Gatherers, of course, gather things for the community.

Career

Qualifications

The trade tests are generally pandered in, being so easy. There are basically no qualifications to be a gatherer - though the participating Florivians are separated into different groups based on their skill level. It is also the default trade if someone does not succeed in their chosen trade test or does not appeal.

Perception

Purpose

Gatherers collect all the materials the community might need - fallen branches for building materials, food, herbs for the healers, and anything else they're ordered to find.

Social Status

The gatherers are your average joes, your low/middle class. Since being a gatherer literally takes no skill whatsoever, they're sort of viewed as the village losers. Even though it is a very looked down upon thing, these trade holders receive the most disrespect of all the citizens.

Demographics

This trade consists of the largest variety of any, due to the vast numbers and low skill qualification. Young, old, male, female, skilled, or mediocre.

Operations

Tools

The gatherers use a variety of different sized baskets and containers, all standardized for different tasks. Some are built specifically to put in the river to filter out the dirt from food. Some are large, sturdy, and latticed for gathering heavy/bulky materials like wood and stones. They also use smaller containers that can strap onto birds and small mammals.
