Marta Peskryk

Marta Peskryk is the teenaged innkeeper of the Eastside Inn in Termalaine, and spends much of her time tending to her bedridden father, Clyde, a retired fisherman. 
While staying at the Inn, Skolas noticed that Marta wears a blue-hued ring on a chain around her neck, and that the ring is embedded in her chest within a painful, festering wound. 
As told by Marta: "Two years ago a mysterious woman stayed here on her way to Lonelywood. She paid my father with this ring, and he started to feel ill as soon as she left. We eventually realized that his physical contact with the ring caused him excruciating pain. However, when we removed it from the house, he came close to death. So, we've learned that we must keep it close to him to keep him alive, but not so close that it causes him unbearable pain. It seems that so long as I wear it, it transfers some of its evil effect to me and partially spares my father. So, I am trapped here with it. And we know now that it was that evil druid Ravisin who stopped here that day -- why she chose to harm us with this cursed ring remains a mystery to us."
