Friendliness ❄❄❄ Services ❄❄ Comfort ❄❄❄General
Most of Ten-Towns import of exotic wood, high quality silk, fine goat wool, and beautiful marble. These goods typically arrive in Termalaine for further processing. The city houses some of the richest folk in the Frozenfar. While Bryn Shander is Icewind Dale’s market hub, Termalaine is the center for art. Jewelers, artisans, and enchanters are highly respected in the city. The town’s buildings are built for beauty rather than utility with engraved columns, curved roofs, domes, statues, caryatids, opulent decorations, spacious design, and treed alleys. Without the snow and if the town’s buildings were made of sandstone rather than wood, the settlement might resemble portions of the great desert city of Calimshan. The town is home to many low-level spellcasters focused on creating beautifying enchantments. Inhabitants are used to seeing magic in everyday life.Speaker
Oarus Masthew, a half-orc, was declared speaker after a close and contentious election. The child of half-orc adventurers, he was adopted by Shaelen Masthew, the previous speaker, who retired from her leadership role but still lives in Termalaine. Oarus is bright, with a sharp sense of humor, but he has political enemies in town and lacks the full support of the town militia.Quests
